Yummy to my tummy....

Well, I gave in and decided to feed Jordyn some cereal. She'll be 5 months next week and has been making eating motions with her mouth and eyeing my food for about a month now! She did really well for her first time and licked the bowl clean the second time. She sucks on the spoon to slurp it down - I remember the boys doing that. Its funny how you forget things so easily until you go through it again with another child.
Here's a picture of the boys playing "booty slam" with daddy. This goes on almost every night in our house. Landen and daddy lay down and Hayden jumps on, over, or across them and lands on his booty. I sometimes have to leave the room. The night usually wraps up with one of the three crying that they are hurt. You would think they would learn! Boys will be boys. ha!

We also got a call for our first baseball meeting tomorrow night. Be on the lookout for lots of baseball news!

Ouch!

Well, I finally got Jordyn to the doctor yesterday for her 4 month check-up and shots. She weighs 15 lbs 4 oz and is 25 1/2" long. That is the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for length. I looked up the boys to see how she compared to them and she is definitely smaller at this point than they were. The doctor said everything looks great and he'll see us back in two months. Of course, she cried pretty hard when she got her shots. Poor little thing - it seems so mean. Mommy kept it together but I sure felt like crying with her!

Roll Over

Well, lets see.... I've been out of town and am just now getting caught back up to normal. Landen has been sick - not sure if it was a stomach bug or food poisoning, but the rest of us seem to be ok. We had a great trip to Fort Smith to celebrate my moms birthday and pops birthday. Happy Birthday Grammy & Pops!

Jordyn hit a milestone this morning - she rolled over from her back to her stomach! We thought she was going to do it last night, but she just couldn't quite make it the whole way. I have already lost count how many times she has done it this morning and its only 12:45. Of course, she doesn't care for her tummy too much so she fusses once she gets on her stomach, lol! She is also enjoying blowing raspberry's with her lips. She's growing up so fast. I still have not taken her for her 4 month shots - the doctor has had to reschedule a few times. Anyway, we are supposed to go again tomorrow so I'll let you know how big she has gotten.

I'm posting some pictures of Valentines Day as well as Jordyn rolling over. Hayden's class says the Pledge of Allegiance before prayer and lunch time - it is so cute. He can say it from beginning to end (although a few words are mispronounced, ha!)

Jordyn's crying so I better end this post. More to come... Oh - one more thing. We may be moving to Germany as early as July!

Home is where the Air Force Takes Us....

even if its Germany! Yes, we are officially moving to Spangdahlem AFB, Germany. Matt has to report between Oct. 5 & no later than Nov. 20. Spangdahlem is a small AFB in southern Germany along the Luxemburg border. Matt is trying to convince me that this is going to be great fun for all of us. We will get to visit so many countries - France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Luxemburg and more. What a vacation! We will also get to see where Matts grandfather (his mothers dad) was buried in France - which will be quite memorable. We are all quite anxious, nervous, excited, happy, sad, scared.... there will be a lot of emotions between now and then. Stay tuned for more info!!! We will definitely have plenty to blog about....

Happy Valentines Day!

Ha, Ha, Ha!

Well, last night Jordyn officially laughed. Yes, belly laughed over and over. She has let out little chuckles here and there, but last night was a full on laugh at her big brother Hayden. Then, more chuckles came to daddy. She's done it a few times today as well. Its such a cute little girly laugh! Here's a few pictures of her after we got home from church today. She's wearing her new dress from Uncle Derek and Aunt Shannon.... Enjoy!

4 Months Old Today

Well, today marks Jordyn's 4 month birthday. Wasn't I just writing a 3 month old one? Here's a cute picture with Grammy & Pawpaw from last week. I think they must have spoiled her a little while they were here because she loves to be held now, ha!
Jordyn, .... you're still as sweet as ever. You smile at everything - especially your big brothers. They must be pretty funny. You can never get enough swing time in. You entertain yourself fairly well while lying on your back. You're not rolling over yet, but you do enjoy arching your back a lot and you love to stand while people are holding you. You have learned to lift your head pretty well while lying on your tummy, but you still despise any tummy time. Mommy nurses you about 5 times a day and you take one bottle around dinner time. We will probably start you on a little cereal sometime soon. You are very interested in everything that goes into mommy's mouth - you begin smacking your lips a little, ha! You usually take a small morning and evening nap and a big nap around noon time. It just varies because we drag you all over the place during the daylight hours. You still sleep like a champ at night - from about 8:00'ish until 6:30 or 7:00am. A lot of mornings I have to wake you up! You are also starting to enjoy your exersaucer and you still don't enjoy your Bumbo seat. We think you are growing quite quickly - we go to the doctor on Thursday so we'll see how much you weigh and how long you are. You squeal in delight, but you still don't have an all out belly laugh. You have little laughs here and there and we know an all out chuckle is just around the corner any day. Happy 4 months!
